Turbina Cultural center is located in the heart of downtown, just a few minutes walk from Harminckettesek square. Public transportation: 4-6 tram, bus line number 9, and trolleybus number 72/83.
Turbina is an arts and community space in the heart of Budapest’s eighth district, where techno, electronic dance music, house music and live music are combined with programmes such as theatre performances, creative workshops, craft fairs, round-table discussions, exhibitions and children’s activities.
The 1,300 square metres of the block are home to national and international artists from the visual arts, literature, music, film and theatre, among others, and we also regularly host corporate events, workshops, fairs and all-day family events.
Our aim is to create a fully open and inclusive community space that is rich in diversity, where anyone can experiment, be inspired and meet like-minded people. Since its opening, the house has grown into one of Budapest’s biggest venues, and we have become an inescapable centre of the Hungarian techno-house scene, with the best known representatives of the underground subculture by our side.
We are looking forward to catching you attending one of our daily events in our concert halls, or maybe visiting our bistro to have a quick chat, a meeting, or a productive day of working. The building complex of Turbina was intentionally constructed for holding such events that take place at the venue today, which guarantees the high quality of our programs. The crew working on perfecting the place is full of people with completely diverse experiences, and with the goal to show this diversity through their work, and to really use the opportunities of Turbina to its fullest extent. With our cultural programmes we would like to help our target audience look at the ways of relaxation and recreation in Budapest from a different perspective. We also hope that after the new experiences Turbina provides, they will grow a bigger interest towards unusual events in their everyday life.
