The V. Kurzgesagt Talk is inspired by the „Is the World Getting More Violent?” video.

Many people experience war as part of their everyday lives, while those unaffected may easily forget about it. However, diving deeper into the subject or knowing someone personally affected often leads to anxiety rather than clarity.

But what is really happening in war-torn regions? What do historical trends reveal? Is the world truly becoming more violent, or is this just a narrative pushed by the media? We aim to answer these and similar questions with our expert guests.

Our Guests:

🔹 Péter Buda – Religious sociologist, national security analyst, and foreign policy expert. Former senior officer in national security.
🔹 András Földes – Journalist, videographer, and conflict zone correspondent. He has reported from Afghanistan, Iraq, Niger, Iran, and Libya.
🔹 Ákos Szilágyi – Poet, aesthete, editor, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, researcher on Russia, habilitated assistant professor.
