Úrfi VIII. birthday | The Pontiac | Arcidra
Úrfi celebrates its 8th birthday in 2026 at Turbina, accompanied by the bands The Pontiac and Arcidra!

Úrfi has been a part of the Hungarian popular music scene since 2018. The band, which describes itself as „lyric-centric complaining-pop,” is characterized by its intimate and sensitive lyrics and its eclectic sound that blurs the boundaries of different styles. The band embraces self-irony, carefree laughter at themselves, bitter-sweet realizations, and the irresistible need to share something with anyone who honors them with their attention.
During their career, the band has released two self-published albums and performed at festivals (Művészetek Völgye, Fezen, Budapest Spring Festival, Dreher Feszt, etc…). They have also held independent concerts in several prominent clubs across the country (Akvárium, A38, etc…). They won the Müpa Garázsband competition, as well as the joint talent show organized by Dreher and Lángoló. In 2023, they embarked on their first independent rural tour to show the world their crying-laughing music and do what they love most.

An evening for those who love songs to have substance and playing music to be free. The entire material from the new album will be performed at the concert, but of course, songs from previous albums will not be missed either.
If you have been following them for a long time, you know what to expect. If you are hearing about them for the first time, then it is time to catch up on everything. The new album truly comes alive when played live—and this is the first time you can hear the fresh songs come to life within the walls of Szabadkikötő. Come on, it’s time to make new memories!

• ARCIDRA • 🎤
Suburban-alt-rock that encompasses a lot of ambivalence.
The world of Arcidra is simultaneously progressive and conservative, simultaneously audience-friendly pop music and thought-provoking underground-alt, simultaneously dance and self-reflection, simultaneously carefully constructed webs of thought about a slice of the world’s incomprehensible complexity, and cheap puns.
