Turbina Kurzgesagt Talk

-An unofficial short fan event-

You know that joke when the rabbi, the priest and the Buddhist monk go into the Turbina?

Kurzgesagt (“in short”) is a series of short animated films about science, society, history and the soul, which are pithy but profound, simple in language and images, yet fundamentally subversive of worldviews and attitudes. His videos have attracted huge audiences around the world – and for good reason. Kurzgesagt is considered by many to be the internet’s most important medium.

We’d like to bring Kurzgesagt to as many people as possible, but we’d like to give it a Turbine twist – we’re organising debates after the screenings.
Our first discussion is around their video ‘The Egg – A Short Story’. It’s a debate about the beginning, end and meaning of life between three religions – and of course you!

80′ conversation
10′ of questioning
Followed by a short story audience meeting at the Bistro!

Moderator: Levipassed
The Rabbi: Dr. Tamás Verő, Rabbi of the Frankel Jewish Community
The priest: Attila Meláth, pastor of the Váci Baptist Congregation
The Buddhist: László Cser, Director of Tan Kapuja University
