The Lineup:

Vorlorn

Taking the stage as a local force, Vorlorn grew out of a collaboration between Dániel Kövér (guitar, vocals) and András Libor (drums). They were later joined by Nándor Tóth (vocals, guitar) and Ferenc Schmidt (bass, vocals). Their music blends elements from several subgenres (black, death, heavy, and doom), with lyrics focusing on social dilemmas and questions. They have numerous releases, all available with lyric videos on YouTube, the latest of which, Beneath The Surface, landed online this July.

Maløk

Maløk is a metal band from Győr, formed in 2020. Their sound carries the influences of Black/Death metal, occasionally seasoned with Deathcore elements. Since their inception, they have undergone several lineup changes—the current stable formation came together in mid-2024. Since then, they have gifted the audience with three EPs titled Unholy King, The Curse of Life (2 tracks each), and Through The Eyes of Blasphemy (5 tracks).

The Way We Are

The Way We Are is a Budapest-based metal band, active since 2021. Their primary musical direction is rooted in metalcore and hardcore, colored to varying degrees with thrash and groove metal elements. Vocally, they most frequently employ false chord and fry screaming techniques. Their lyrical themes are diverse: ranging from human emotions to politics, society, history, nature, and mysticism; their goal is to show new perspectives to as many people as possible through their lyrics. Their first release, the two-track digital single Deathless Salvation, arrived in September 2022, followed by four similar releases in 2023. Their debut full-length album, The Fate of The Antagonist, was released at the end of 2023 and can be found on almost all streaming platforms.

SMRT

SMRT is a five-piece death metal band from Slovenia. Their sound incorporates the most exciting stylistic marks of death, black, melodeath, and technical death metal, while also paying homage to their metalcore idols. Heavy breakdowns, deep gutturals, and crushing riffs are just as characteristic of their songs as clean interludes. Since 2018, they have released 3 singles, 2 EPs, and 2 albums. Their latest effort, the album What We Call Home, was delivered last year; its precursor, the music video single Within The Requiem Of A Collapsing Star, premiered on the Slam Worldwide YouTube channel.
