Mayberian Sanskülotts started as an acoustic duo capturing the loneliness of summers echoing between the panel blocks of Káposztásmegyer, and has since grown into one of the defining bands in the Hungarian underground pop scene. The founding members, Balogh Gallusz and Csordás Zita, played their first gig in 2010, thanks to a twist of fate, and their songs, inspired by the Hungarian underground of the 80s, reflect the magical suffering of the end of adolescence, the melancholic sadness that sometimes envelops everyone, and the fading daylight over the housing estates. Over the years, with an expanding lineup and musical toolkit, they have built their private dream world, steering towards shoegaze and dreampop. Now a six-member band, they’ve shed their suburban spleen and deepened their relationship with the synth and drum sounds reminiscent of the early 2000s. The band, now celebrating 15 years, will preview some new tracks from their upcoming album at the spring Turbina concert.

WeAreGloria
Dányi Krisztina, also known as WeAreGloria (formerly morningdeer), blends art pop, avant-garde, and IDM in unique musical textures. By exploring the oddities hidden in familiar sounds, she offers a musical experience that delves deeper into the layers of perception, meaning, and identity. Her first single, „PTS”, won the Vimeo Staff Pick award, recognition from Nowness, the Best Video award at the Hungarian Music Video Awards, and was featured in the UNESCO exhibition „The World of Music Video.”
Her 2023 debut album, TIMELESS, laid the foundation for an innovative performance that questioned the traditional performer-audience dynamic.
After a two-year break, WeAreGloria returned with IDEOLOGY, a pop-tinged work exploring the invisible forces that influence how we love, think, and act. The album was created in collaboration with Molnár Bence, pianist of Jazzbois, resulting in a more instinctive, spontaneous, and saturated sound, contrasting with the deconstructed textures of TIMELESS. The visual presentation of the performance is by Palkovits Edina, who complements the atmosphere of the music with a powerful visual world, creating a space where ideologies are questioned and where the audience can actively participate in this internal journey.
