In the summer, we bring the energy of the city center to the banks of the Danube, which beats like the heart of Budapest. On the Jane Haining Wharf, right below Vigadó Square, a wave of summer-long concerts, exhibitions, and fairs awaits you.

Várhegyutca is an experimental-ethno-funk band where the joyful music of 10 young musicians travels across global genres to create a liberating, community-driven atmosphere—where emotions are not just felt but danced out, sometimes erupting with elemental force. They are active players in the Budapest club scene, while also regularly performing at numerous venues and festivals across the country. They have held a sold-out concert at the House of Hungarian Music’s open-air stage for the second time, and in 2026, Mihály Borbély and László „Hobo” Földes also shared the stage with them.

Alongside professional accolades – such as the Music Hungary Showcase and support from the National Cultural Fund (NKA) – the band is particularly grateful to share the main stage in 2026 with several artists who are deeply influential and inspiring to them, such as Aurevoir.
