BIPOLÁRIS HELYEHUJA: Sajnosbatár x Verőköltő
Two undeservedly popular groups of intergalactic-turbo eclectic pop-rock folk metal, the sajnosbatár (better known as unglücklicherweisewagen andenkenorchester) and the Verőköltő (BeatPoet), will be spinning the Turbina as part of the “30th anniversary of sajnosbatár” celebrations. Asking and answering the most elementary questions of existence and non-existence, this concert by the wonder band rock is a must for any self-respecting form of existence.
A parade of hits and a cataract of turbulence, where content and form piss hand in hand in a non-existent bush. In other words: a BIPOLARICAL PLACE…
The Sajnosbatár band was founded in 1994 in Szentendre, by local and regional members. The traditional rock music line-up (drums, bass guitar, guitar) was spiced up with a tenor saxophone. The lyrics of their songs are “sometimes philosophically obscene, deadly funny and comically deadly”. Their music is very diverse, sometimes raw, harsh and progressive, sometimes hit, easy to digest and beautiful.
An organic blend of softness, raw crushing and electronic whistling – with philosophical, self-reflexive lyrics. Intuitive cohesion, precise sprawl, pulsing consciousness, measured explosion of instincts. After 4 albums to date, the Beating Poet is dripping with clips for a fifth, but this is a band you have to see live to get your head down.
