Come and try your hand at Hungary’s longest running slam poetry club in 2025!

Slam Poetry Budapest Club will continue its 17-year mission at its current location, the Turbina Cultural Center! The February club event will be dedicated to TEAM SLAM, the team competition. Teams are welcome, a team must consist of at least 2 people.

Please write „SPB CLUB FEBRUARY 2025” in the subject line.
The entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are 6 places for the Open Mic and 16 places for the team competition.
Those who apply for the team competition and the Open Mic, please:
– please enter your name and team name,
– and indicate in their application if they do not wish to be placed in the hat and on the waiting list.
You can check your entry into the competition here at the event, no separate notification will be sent, for reasons of reducing digital waste.

If your name is in one of the hats, please share the event on your own profile and invite as many people as possible to support the success of the event. Thank you.
We will also keep an attendance sheet – those who have registered for the Open Mic or Team Competition and have not registered PERSONALLY at the staff table by the start time (7pm), or have not indicated their cancellation by emailing [email protected] 2 days before the event at 8pm, will not be allowed to register for the next club night.

Those who have not registered by the start time (19:00) will lose their place in the competition and will be entered from the waiting list for the next team.
Team time limit: 4 minutes (+15 seconds respect time)

18:00 Gate opening
19:00 Open Mic
19:30 Team Slam Competition

The competition will consist of 2 blocks, with a 15 minute break in between. In each block, 3-3 Open Mic applicants and 8-8 teams will be drawn from the hat.

The event will be audio and video recorded. By attending the event you agree to the limited use of the recordings.
