Deaf Soundcheck EP release | Support: Project Daywalker
DEAF SOUNDCHECK is a postmodern alternative rock band from Budapest. Their music blends the energies of indie, Britpop, post-punk, grunge, and post-rock, while their lyrics build an emotional, darkly lyrical, sometimes grotesque world—with gradually building, poetic forms instead of classic song structures. Their new Hungarian-language EP, due out in August, features songs colored with cello and flute, which they will now perform live for the first time, accompanied by guest artists, collaborators, and surprises.
The stage will be warmed up by Project Daywalker, a collection of gothic decorations strung together with Seattle guitar sounds, recommended for both brooding and stomping in a good way, perhaps inspired more than anything else by the Bowie-Rollins collaboration at Sziget in 1997.
