Bejgli burning crushing with Besh o droM / guest: Áron Bujdosó

After rolling bejgli noodles with Besh o droM, let’s dance off the extra pounds of Christmas dinners in the Great Hall of the Turbina!
BESH O DROM
The band started out in 1999 as a major representative of Hungarian world music. The meaning of its name in Lovári Gypsy is “Chase the road!” (They combine Balkan and Romanian gypsy and Middle Eastern traditional music with Hungarian music and play their own arrangements, fusing different musical styles.
Thanks to their exhilarating concerts, they are among the most exportable acts in the entire Hungarian music scene, and they perform 70-80 times a year in Hungary and around 50-60 times abroad, mostly to packed houses. They have been the first Hungarian acts to play at many events, often in the company of world-famous artists such as Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Keith Jairett and Marcus Miller. Their greatest success came at the Montreal Jazz Festival, where they performed four times on the main stage during the main programme in front of 35,000 people on each of the four main stages.
